2. Product Use & Safety

1. General:
Intended Use:
- CLÒIMH knitted accessories are designed for personal wear to provide warmth in cold weather. Do not use for any other purposes
Material Awareness:
- Our knitted accessories are made of wool. Individuals allergic to wool or sensitive to natural fibres should avoid direct contact or wear a base layer to prevent irritation.
2. Specific Safety Instructions:
2.1 Fire Safety:
- Wool is naturally flame-resistant but can ignite under intense heat. Avoid exposing the hat and scarf to open flames, high-heat sources (e.g., stoves, heaters), or cigarettes.
- Do not leave these items near any active heating elements or open fires.
2.2 Wearing and Usage:
- Ensure scarves, tied hoods or other neck tie items are not wrapped too tightly around the neck to avoid breathing restrictions or potential choking hazards.
- When wearing (especially in windy conditions), securely fasten or tuck in loose ends to prevent the scarf from getting caught in machinery, doors, or other moving parts.
- Please note, some of our scarves are long in length. Ensure they are worn in a way that keeps the ends from trailing too close to the ground to avoid tripping hazards or movement restrictions.
2.3 Washing and Maintenance:
- Avoid excessive stretching or pulling during washing to prevent deformation.
- Keep CLÒIMH knitted accessories away from bleach or strong chemicals, which can damage the fibres.
3. Storage:
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent fading and weakening of fibres.
- Protect from moths by storing in sealed containers or adding natural moth repellents (e.g. lavender sachets).
 4. Use by Children:
- Our products are specifically designed and sized for use by adults and are not suitable for children due to inappropriate sizing.
5. Health Considerations:
- In case of irritation, rash, or discomfort from wearing, remove the items immediately and consult a dermatologist or medical professional if symptoms persist.
- If the wool becomes wet, remove and allow to dry thoroughly before reuse to avoid skin irritation or odour buildup.
7. Disposal:
- Our products are biodegradable and should be disposed of in accordance with local textile recycling or waste management regulations if no longer usable.
- Before recycling, remove all labels carefully.
